Please tell me if I remember right that the Faroe Islands are a place where early Viking artifacts have been found. Am I remembering right?

@San G.: Yes it is. The islands are still part of Denmark, yet they have their own language, which is thought to be extremely close to the language the old vikings used. It is actually a very pretty language, but impossible to learn they say. I did see the leftovers from two buildings once used by vikings, it was interesting, but not much was left and I couldn't get a good photo out of it. I could see why the vikings chose exactly that place, the view over the mountains and the ocean was amazing from there.
